As members of a multi-cultural, multi-racial school community which looks to the future, while cherishing traditional values, Falcon students and teachers aim to be critical thinkers and life-long learners, able to adapt and work together, responding to the social and technological challenges of the modern world.

Now in its fifth decade the A. G. Leventis Foundation demonstrates significant involvement in the study and conservation of the cultural heritage of Cyprus, Greece and the Hellenism of the Diaspora.

It conducts research projects, participates in European research programmes/projects, cooperates with international institutions and organizations, and attracts outstanding researchers from within Greece and abroad.

The Teaching and Research Staff are 2048 people, the Special Scientific Teaching Staff 48 people and the Special Laboratory Staff 202 people; 152 members of Special Technical Laboratory Staff and 719 administrative staff assist further the educational work. 64000 undergraduate and more than 10000 postgraduate and PhD students, of which 3966 are international students, are registered in the Faculties and Schools of the University. His members publish almost 10000 publications every year, while they participate in more than 2000 scientific programmes. AUTH supports research projects in a wide variety of disciplines.

UOWM offers numerous curricula at the Bachelor, Master and Doctorate level, hosting more than 20000 undergraduate/postgraduate students and Post-Doc researchers.

Teaching and research staff (>300) excel in many subject areas and are well-acknowledged for their contribution to the creation and advancement of knowledge and technology transfer. The Faculty of Humanities and Social Science, of the University of Western Macedonia, consisting of a Department of Primary Teachers Education, a Department of Early Childhood Education, and a Department of Psychology, is based in Florina. The two Departments of Education have approximately 2000 students of the two Education Departments. The two Departments are also active in organizing schools and in-service teachers’ training programs, targeted to specific needs of teachers in science and STEAM education. The two Departments of Education have a long-term collaboration with local school education authorities, schools, and teachers.

The school building was designed by the architect Dimitris Pikionis. It opened in 1934 with the director Vasilios Tatakis, who later became its professor of Philosophy at the Aristotle University and supervised by Professor Alexandros Delmouzo.

Emerging as first in the Polytechnic ranking, along with other major Universities, it is placed in the upper segment of the higher education national ranking.

P.Porto involves 8 schools, more than 20 R&D units, and is the best positioned in international scientific rankings in Portugal. P.PORTO considers its mission to be leader of the Polytechnic subsystem in Portugal, taking social responsibility towards community and society, in an international frame of reference and excellence. The Centre for Intercultural Studies (CEI) is located at P.Porto’s Business School (ISCAP). ISCAP offers its 4600- strong student population a range of innovative BA and MA courses. ISCAP has experience in innovation in learning, creativity and e-learning, constantly improving the teaching staff’s methods through the use of technologies. CEI develops applied and fundamental research, co-operating with other national and international institutions in scientific, technical and cultural projects. The mission of CEI comprehends the whole interdisciplinary field generated by the scientific research, exchanges, events, and publications created along the years within 3 main research lines: intercultural theories and practices, intercultural communication, and intercultural business.

It’s principal areas of activity are the investigation of cultural heritage and the local history, with the purpose of finding and selecting cultural artifacts for the museum’s collections.

The Eugénio de Andrade School Group was approved on April 30th/2002 and it is formed by four basic education schools– three for pre-school and 1st cycle education and one with students from the 5th to the 9th grade. In April 2008, it was considered a EREBAS – Reference Teaching Institution for the Bilingual Education of Deaf Students.
